Went back to my home state for almost a week so missed out on fishing for a bit. But made it out in the morning today to my favorite haunt of Silver Bridge. 42f and a crisp morning. Warmed up to round 70 by the time I left about noon.
First cast with a simple Carolina rig for funsies caught this lil guy, roughly 11 inches. That was pretty much all the action minus a few bites here and there and hearing gun shots off and on all morning.
I did have a fish and game officer come through. I joked about needing a saftey vest for hunting season, then was told there's just water fowl open right now and there's no hunting on preserve land. Sooooooooo hopefully none of y'all are hunting round there lol
