Kayak Catfish Adventure

I told everyone about my jumping into the kayak catfish world. Well I have not had near the time I hoped to do it but the few times I got out this year have been a hoot. I had a cancellation on Friday so went out by myself and caught this guy.

You need to train them to swim upsteam. That way you can just go for a nice relaxing float and then hook into one when you are ready to head back to the truck.

I decided to fight him under anchor so no ride. He fought like crazy, harder than any others this year. Drug that kayak back and forth for a long time before he finally surfaced. Lots of fun still.
