What are you guys using to keep your boat clean and sparkly?
Just wiping it down?
Spraying it down with a product first, then wiping down? What product?

Other?

Wiping it down right away is a good plan. 50/50 Vinegar and water if you want to get rid of spots and any build-up once it's dry. If it gets a lot of buildup I use orange turtle wax paste heavy duty rubbing compound on a variable speed polisher and then a good carnauba wax over that.

The best and cheapest way I have found is mix 50/50 white vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Spray boat and wipe off. Takes water spots off with no effort. This does take wax off so I will use turtle wax spray every couple of weeks. Twice a season I use the past wax.

I go with an aluminum boat to avoid the "sparkly issues" altogether ;:;popcorn

Velveeta.... minus the ET
Wipe down after pulling out of water immediately... takes 5 seconds to wipe down when you give every kid you brought with a towel. Then in between I use the pressure washer and a bucket and brush designated just for the boat with a good soap and wax combo 20190403_203813.jpg

A wise man once told me ‘no one steals a rusty tool’. It applies to boats too.

Fan of Lucas Oil Speed Wax on a semi wet boat, great clean, shine in one.. and smells oh so good.
like him or not, Zona's Eagles One Wax as U Dry is really good too. Have a couple bottles from Walmart. Either is good.

I know it really doesnt count -not fiberglass -but i do have a ton of clear coat and the paint is metallic under -- and the paint is from some foreign overratedexpensive car i dont remember what -- to buy it it was $$$$$ at the ramp i use i just hose the thing down -- devils lake is terrible on boats. Then when i get time a couple times a summer take the vinegar to it. Us alums like to keep our metallic paint shiney!!

Mine gets wiped down in the parking lot every time it gets pulled out of the water. On the very rare occasion that doesn’t happen or when I want to touch it up a bit more after it’s dry and back home, I use a product called “Hot Sauce” which is a pretty good water spot remover. They also have “Quickie Sauce” which is a spray wax. I also do a full detail and Wax once a year with Meguiars Flagsip Matine Wax. I’m pretty picky and I’ve been pleased with these products.

We use the 50/50 vinager water at the end of every weekend, and big sparkly looks new after 4 years. We do use another wax spray about twice a year but can’t remember the brand, Probably whatever the dealer said to use. To be honest if you use your boat 3 days every weekend, every day gets excessive. We did that for about a month and realized once at the end of the weekend had the same results.

Wipe it down with the liquid out of those pints of Gulp, works two-fold. Do this right before launching and its like the Candy Van to the fishies.
