We as American citizens, and OUR land are getting raped by a government who forgot we pay taxes to make our lives better!

Unfortunately it sounds like Hoeven and Cramer support this. Big surprise. Do what we can and call their D.C. offices to voice our opposition as sportsmen.

Said this so many times..they do not care what we say. I would love for you to actually talk to them via phone or in person.....report back here how it goes for you.

I called yesterday and talked with their staffers or whoever it is that takes the phone calls (that was for Hoeven and Fedorchak). Still need to call Cramer's D.C office. Based on the tone, it sounded to me like they're well aware of the opposition to the sale of public lands. It wouldn't hurt to flood Senator Mike Lee's office (out of Utah) with phone calls since he's the architect of the bill.

edit: I just called Cramer's office. i was the only one that's called so far today to voice my opposition. let's bring that number up

Ask to speak directly with your representative, not someone trained to appease you when you call. Get it straight from the horse mouth and see if its followed through with. Yes your rep should be able to find time to speak with you..set up a time etc. Good luck..

If you’re calling their DC offices, the odds are that you get a staffer that know their shit better than the Rep or Sen themselves. I’ve lobbied and the DC staff are the brightest and have the best access to the person that matters. Each has a subject area of expertise and they talk amongst each other all day. It’s by far the most effective to spend your time calling DC direct. Don’t bother with the local offices IMO.

Exactly my point..number one your rep doesnt give a shit what you say, another words the phone call is pointless. They also have no clue what they vote for..they are told how to vote. I have actually talked to one of our reps face to face about an issues that affects ND(very respectfull). The rep was more interested in what the powers that be out of the state have to say then when us locals had to say.

Headline from the article:

An interactive map from the Wilderness Society highlights the tracts of US Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management lands that could go up for sale if the Senate's version of the budget bill passes

The Wilderness Society is a non-profit creation of the Rockefellers. Advancing social change for a more just, sustainable, and peaceful world.

Im still ok with this, if people are complaining that its a big corporation like blackrock that's getting the opportunity perhaps they should buy some stocks so they can, in the future, receive some added wealth to that investment. Because for me, taking land away from private owners is by far worse situation for the building of affordable housing developments.

250 million acres is roughly 390,000 square miles. That's the size of Texas and California combined. Seems to me like that's a lot of land to take away for public hunting, fishing, and other recreation, and a lot of dollars spent on those activities for local economies.
