Anone know what the silver SUV is doing at the entrance to the airport? it's sitting there every time I leave town and again when I return. most always has two guys just sitting there all day. I assume it's something to do with the protest perhaps documenting vehicles heading down there or something and just curious if anyone actually knows what the deal is?

Not sure on make or model or the plate. tempted just to stop and ask. theoretically it can't be the CIA since they're not allowed to operate on us soil. now we know they do at times but I would hope they would be sneaker then this. now FBI could definitely be an option .

Remember the whole point here is we have no idea who they are so they may well not be government employees. could easily be part of the pipeline security or any number of options. I keep meaning to stop and at least get a better look at the rig and the people inside but normally by that point I'm like at horse heading to the barn deciding what I want for breakfast.

I found out you don't mess around at airports. I found a "handy" parking spot at the SLC terminal right beside a barricade that said restricted area no parking. My wife said you can't park here and I said with a smile watch me. I had popped the trunk and just getting ready to grab her luggage when 4 guys surrounded us, Boy did I get my ass chewed.

They are using the airport as a base operation for the Policing community during the protest. They also have a mobile camp located at Ft. Rice. Talked to a guy who flies the helicopter for surveillance and said they have so many people out there that they backed up the sewer system.

Yeah I swung in and talked to them for a bit
Not sure if they are cops or security but either way they were fairly tight-lipped to start with. He eventually said they were there monitoring for possible attacks mind you neither one of us had said anything about the pipeline or the protest at point. Nice enough guys once they figured out I wasn't a protester. I did give them a little jolt when I told them the crew were working on the putting the pipe under 6 and that might be what the natives want so they can target it again and now I here thats just what they did. Apparently no one told them that the natives were moving in.
