Hey guys
I'm middle-aged and far from being the person who decides right from wrong, cool from lame, but in another thread we are having a minivan discussion, and I commend you guys that can put your nuts in the perfect dad purse.
I think too many of us outdoorsman lay down and forget we are men.
Is it wrong to make a head of household decision? How about putting a spouse in an equal discussion where as our opinions are of equal value without being a sexist.
I see mrs johnr as my friend, wife, equal, and holding 49% share of our lives. Haha

Lol. I never would have guessed it would be an issue. It ain't her making the decision. It's this pussified outdoors guy. She would drive about anything other than a 4 door truck. If I didn't already drive one of those, I would force her hand so we were sure to have one in the Arsenal. It's truly a functionality deal. I promise. My balls are still between my own legs. I know cause I juggle em like 100 times a day to to be sure. Vollmer can pull the thread tomorrow if he wants. Don't want it to linger too long on this manly site.

Who needs roomy spacious vehicles.... Growing up, we would climb into the pickup truck for the long trip to Grandma and Grandpa's place. 2 adults, 2 kids in a standard cab pickup with a manual transmission.

No room for screwing around and if you tried, you were well within reach of dad's hand.

I hate being able to haul furniture/sheetrock/10' 4x4/dog kennel/bikes/lawnmower/snowblower in a vehicle that also carries 6 guys comfortably. I want a truck but as strange as it sounds, I'm not willing to sacrifice the versatility of le minivan. I have seriously considered a van on a pickup chassis like an old Chevy Astro, Ford Econoline, Nissan Thingy, etc.

In front.
I drive a minivan. Its versatility, convenience, safety, gas mileage, and overall flexibility can't be met by any other type of vehicle. It suits my family and I well. Budget isn't an issue nor is my position in the household hierchy (tipity top mf)

Fwiw, my wife drives a crew cab truck, and I speak with a lisp.

Haha

Post a pick of you in the hot new ride. You of course know that I am just busting your chops right? I once rode in a minivan, it was like riding a moped, or humping a fat chick... real fun until your buddies found out.
