Thielen has to be part of this discussion too. Undrafted, walk-on, practice squad. Can't be covered and doesn't drop the ball (except in Vikings fashion when marching to the end zone. Not his fault, cursed )

thielen is the american dream come true --- its why kids all over the place still wake up with hope -- maybe not hope to play NFL but to be a cinderella in any career. The opportunities still exist ----- its why you have to think outside the box. You dont need that umpteen thousand dollar rig and a million jiggin raps and 100 gloomys --- zebco will land that 16lber record
Thielen is remarkable, just like that little back our of Chadren NB, (Danny ????). All the Div II and III and kids have hope because of these guys. I like how Theilen once said he couldn't even have a bad practice when he started out, or he could be gone.
In the Saints game he just got hit worng, and fumbled at the worst possible time for the Vikes.
Danny Woodhead from Chadron...idiot coach at Nebraska at the time said he was too small...
Lots of those kinds of success stories...fun to hear about stuff like this as like shorthairsrus said, gives every little leaguer some hope in whatever they do...
Yeah Woodhead, another great story. Also wanna give props to Adam Vinitieri. HS wrestler from RC SD!! Haven't ever heard a teammate say a negative word about him.

Oh and SD has another kid who may make some noise. He is only a Jr. and is a complete animal, on the mat and on the Field. Not sure he can do both in college, and I'm not sure he'll be able to keep his weight down to wrestle in college. He is a lifting machine and a national champion wrestler.
