Fished newtown for half day with the boy, we went south again towards hunts along, found the fish in 17 to 20ft again, the bite was still alittle slow in the area, the boy had a blast though and that's what really matters on days like this, we were jigging, and of course got into a ton of white bass, water temps were warmer around 65. We brought 6 home for dinner, he was talking about fish tacos all day, we sure do love them in this house.

That is awesome , Great way to start a lifetime wonderful past time . We love fish tacos also , you have to try the Scheels Walleye egg roll recipe, air fry or deep fry they are the bomb , we add more fish than they recommend

Giving a report now, for a few weeks out is going to be hard so much depending on weather, , hot cold, rain just depends, could be great now but piss poor in a couple weeks, but normally it seems to be decent in the hook in middle to end of June, but it would be best to ask again a few days before your thinking of coming.

Fishing lately in the Van Hook area has been very tough. The water temperature has been around 60 degrees, just won't warm up. We caught some fish but very small fish. Very few fish at cleaning stations. Very few boats even fishing. Waiting for climate change to warm things up! LOL........
