galwhofishes and I like Indian food. So we recently set out to find a canning method that will result in quick/easy curry style venison we can heat and dump onto rice with some naan for a great meal.
Stay tuned as we'll need to taste test them over coming weeks/months.:;:rockit

I marinated all the venison in yogurt overnight - then put a variety of custom (homebuilt curry), envelope mixes, and jarred curry sauces/mixes in with the venison. So we'll be trying these on occasion, we'll be rating them, and then refining them to achieve a go-to recipe(s).

I HOPE the rogan josh or garam masala varieties turn out. Rogan josh is my fav.

Sounds awesome! I'm seriously going to ask for a pressure canner for Christmas just for this kind of stuff. Love to hear how they turn out, and which was your favorite.

Our family is a big fan of pheasant tikka masala in the Crock Pot. Put over some basmati rice with naan...mmmmm good eats!

Looks good I need to get the canner out again and make some more venison.
You can MAKE venison?! Shit, I've been killing all these innocent animals... All I needed was this "canner" you speak of.

Well played I will have to get some out of the freezer and into the canner.

Looks great #guywhosaysohyesitisveryverygood! I need to try some Indian food. Only "curry" I have liked was made by a Thai housemate in college; "massaman" he made it hot enough to make the devil sweat and served over jasime rice, killer.

How do I adjust my settings or download the right stuff to see those pictures. In the thread they are black box with a white X followed by a description that is a usable link, but the link is to a little teeny tiny picture than would require a 70" magnifying glass (ok, that is a slight exaggeration), but I need big clear pics for my not so good eyes.:;:help

I had a canner that would do 21pints at a time, was lost in moving/borrowed and not returned. Have a smaller one that will soon be replaced.
