I believe in previous threads you have talked about having medica for health insurance and I believe we have the same high deductible plan. If you still have that insurance, did your premium go down this year? I got a letter in the mail from them showing my "estimated" premium dropped by $30 a month. Needless to say I was pretty shocked by that since my premiums have never ever went down, even before Obamacare. Last year it stayed the same as the prior year but this is the first time it went down. I would just call medica and ask but I don't want to take the chance of them saying oh shit our bad you should actually be paying double. If you don't want to hash this personal info on the web I understand, just curious is all. Thanks dirty. In hindsight I should have sent this as a pm.

I just want to know why the f you guys would open a thread titled "question for dirty mike". I'm guessing you guys are the type who see a road closed sign and just drive around it. This thread has been way better than I could have imagined so far. I almost don't even care what the answer is to my original question anymore.

Thanks for the info and the homework. I've got to ask though, if you are an agent for medica and only dable in the individual and group side then what the hell is left? Wouldn't that about cover everyone?

I don't have medica. I am on my wife's blue cross plan through Bismarck public schools. I and a preferred provider for medica, however.

Thanks for the response. I thought you were the one who had medica. My bad.

No worries. Glad we got things figured out whilst having a little laughter.
I'm regretting that I titled this thread question for dirty mike now. Whoever I was thinking of may be a rule follower and not click this thread. Anyway, I might just start asking you any general questions I have about anything and may start wearing a wwdmd t shirt.

Oh, I wanna look at the car wreck. I drive around the block and look again. Especially if something is upside down.

"Question for dirtymike" is the equivalent of a flashing stop sign.

I figured that at the least, it was going to be funny. And likely having to do with crankbaits. So I felt pretty much obligated to stop and chime in.

You're welcome.

speaking of health insurance and premiums, I saw that ND is expected to have on average a 1% increase. I don't know if that is valid, but if that is the truth, that is pretty damn good. Maybe why some of you saw a decrease in premiums. That same report showed AZ having a 116% increase in premiums!!!
