rainy river walleye bite~

Heading up Wed night to fish Thurs and Fri morning.

Was up Fri-Sun. River was real muddy still, even all the way down at Birchdale. Struggled to find the big fish. Tried out in the lake too. Biggest we ended up with for the weekend was only a 17". Saw lots of sturgeon being caught.

Was up last weekend as well. Friday the river was unfishable but it cleared up a lot by Saturday afternoon. We found them in 14 fow on the shallow side of a big hole. Water is still cookin' pretty fast. We had to use 3/4 oz jigs to keep contact with the bottom. Nothing huge but we filled out with 18-19"ers. Caught my first big sturgeon Sunday, which was cool.
