Growing up we never had a TV. My parents didnt get a TV until 1988. I missed out on a lot, but I read a lot of books and spent more hrs outside than most people. Im ok with it.

MASH had a definite liberal bent but wasn't retarded or offensive. I envy you to be able to watch the series for the first time. You sort of won the lottery IMO.

Same never did watch mash either, we had a TV but we never had cable so many shows i never did see. Taxi was another show I didn't see, didn't get into watching more TV shows until fox channel came on the air.

This is how much I really never knew what mash was about, I had always thought that Mash was supposed to be about medical personnel during the Vietnam conflict but it was actually the Korean conflict. Go figure
