If he's anything like his old man he missed a stroke and hit the vanity and broke his arm. But thank God he isn't. He feel off a hover board at his mother's and broke some bones in his elbow.

Nice rig. Be a slick unit when you get it setup. What are you adding to it?

Gonna throw a minn Kota endura on the back. An extra 898 bird that I had, splash guards and that's about it. Bait, booze, and babes and we are off to the ramp!!! I'm fat, old and ugly so I'll have to settle for the bait and booze.

I have to ask. I used to live in ND, and moved to MT. So many people out here run a jet outboard motor. They can cruise over a sand bar going 30 mph when it's only 4 inches deep.
I see guys all the time breaking off their props, and getting stuck on sand bars. Why isn't there more jet style engines in ND?

Only a guess here but maybe its maintenance cost.

Jet propulsion outboards have garbage slow speed boat control/turning capabilities. If you need a motor that gets you from A to B over shallow riffles and bars, they're the ticket. If you plan on doing any crank pulling or backtrolling they're no bueno.

Just like steering a personal water craft. No go, unless you're gassing it.

Also, holy moly, will a Sea-Doo suck up a 75 ft ski rope in the blink of an eye, and there you sit.

That's sweet! I wish I would have kept my old 16 footer for a river boat instead of selling it for a couple grand. I'd much rather take that on the river than my alumacraft.

Bud I have a kick ass lightning rod that you should probably take a look at if you really want to fill that livewell!

I would guess it is mostly because of the extra expense and the fact you lose a lot of efficiency when you can still get by without a jet. It would be a whole lot less worrisome, though.
