So they basically rewrote the whole damn thing. What a fiasco that is going to turn into my goodness. Either pass the original or scrap the whole mess and start over is my suggestion. Our legislature can sure screw shit up!

Sound like a giant mess to me. how are you gonna get all the contact information from every land owner in the entire state?

well they can hold their head high as the legislative assembly that destroyed hunting in ND. something they'll all be proud of I'm sure. We need to launch a major campaign against every ass hat that votes for this. Run those jackasses out of town.

This bill is garbage. And now they want to rob the Outdoor Heritage Fund to pay for it. For a program that hurts hunting opportunities in the state. Thats an insult to injury. Using money that is meant to ENHANCE hunting, instead to close land. They get their cake and eat it too. Man.......GARBAGE.

As a owner of small plots of land and control of hunting on other land a bill to make all land posted would of benefit me however either way it would not have any direct effect on my hunting (not that I know of). Only bow hunt on my plots and mule deer hunt on public land and some private land. Have found no problems on getting on private land. All kinds of posted land farmers let me hunt gophers on. Do not bird hunt and do not drive to coyote hunt. But sit and call which does work sometimes anyways.

But for a reason that is hidden in my gut I am glad if it does fail. May be wrong on that but for now will trust my gut and for some it may mean they can continue to enjoy their way of hunting as they have.

For those that break the rules, well there are rules. In the sanctuary towns that I live by ( at least as following game and fish rules and posters) there are plenty of current rules being broke and that is a bigger issue to me.

In the past I have chased countless people shinning at night by my plots, people stopping as I sat in my stand shooting at deer below me. Only caught two and with guns involve I was probably more scare than they were. But after a few chases and a couple of years they are now shinning somewhere else. I do not see having all land being posted was the answer for me then but the answer was for me to take care of a problem myself. Yes there have been some enemies made and some anxious moments but they are gone for now. db

It appears the calendar switched to tomorrow's agenda. Go back a day and it's there.

I beleive in my memory this has been introduced twice before by Rep Froelich from Selfridge. Back then both times it had luke warm reception from ag groups. This go round was different. There was not a lot of thought put into this prior to introduction, but with the support that came from grass roots ag after the fact there was effort to change it in an attempt to get something started and passed.

Many people around the state know people impacted by the DAPL protests and there simply is more and more issues of shit happening during hunting around the state so this gains support.

The threads in this site and others gave a glimpse into the issues that remain out there . There is a growing lack of respect and simple courtesy. If that continues on the pace it is this bill will be back down the road and it will have enough fore thought and preparation to pass as it has in other states.

There are good people that supported this bill. I have friends and neighbors that supported this bill that are easy going great people that most times do not bother to post their lands simply because it is a pain to do so or they do not mind most people hunting. A couple of those folks at ball games mentioned this thread and the one on FBO. They were not impressed with some of the comments.

Like it or not, these sites are a reflection of the sportsmen community in our state. Most people know from firsthand experience most sportsmen are good folks simply looking for a place to hunt with friends and family. But a few seem to forget that that is being done on others property and come on here and spout off about it and when those land owners read some of the comments on sites like this one, there are some good people that tire of it.

People on here can take this for what it is worth or they can start telling stories about the asshole rancher that ran them off at gun pointy our in the grasslands I really don't care. But remember when this comes back somewhere down the road, what will make it easier to keep things the way they are now?

Like it or not someone else owns the lands many of us hunt on..................they deserve a bit of courtesy.
