Caught a bucket mouth on a top water buzz bait and when I went to get the hook out here was about 5 inches of bull head tail sticking out his gullet. He swallowed that bullhead head first and still wanted more. Could not believe the spines on that bullhead did not puncher his gut. It was a good 12 inch bullhead. Made the mistake of opening him up to see. ICKY ICKY. LB

That actually ran through my head shortly after watching it.
Quad NOPE for me
It's happened. If you're in the right country it's good practice to check down the gullet before lipping. One time back in the Hills; I watched 4-5 10/12in LM OR SM harass a 4 or so foot watersnake across a cove. Was hoping to see a muskie end the show. I think it was the right/wrong weather.

It was hot as hell; bright and calm. The bass reminded me of a disturbed wasp nest at noon. Because of that day I'll throw topwater in these conditions if the area is shallow and it's grassy.

Fish like a jerkbait or fluke with a high rod tip.
