I was rigging up spinners, and other rigs this weekend, while watching walleye fishing vids on youtube.
(wife was on call, so I was on call ...)
I get to looking at rigs that I had made up last year, and i had to ask myself, WTF was I thinking!?! Some of these lures look like garbage. Some on crap mono.

I must have been running low on beads and spinners or something.

I ended up junking about a dozen rigs.

Anyone else take a look into the tacklebox and wonder WTF !?!

Yes. I see some old jigs that look terrible, or every time I see a Berkeley Flicker anything. I know they catch fish, but hate their cheap components.

I've had a lot of brainstorms that turned out to not pan out the way I thought they would. I have also ordered stuff from the 'net only to be completely disappointed when I hold it in my hand.

Maybe its the BOOZE consumed while making said garbage lures!! ;:;boozerWhen you first start making, and drinking, things are going, and looking great!!:;:rockitThen after drinking to much (which I didn't\don't think is possible) the quality of said lure goes down hill!:;;:smokin

Kinda. But more so shaking my head at all the cranks I've bought that I just had to have but never use.

Haha Yup, For the last few rainy windy days. I have thrown the junk out but I have another problem, Too much that I don't use .
I can't seem to walk past fishing equipment without buying some little trinket. It's an addiction for me, If it get's my attention i'll bite. I can't make myself throw it away so I bought myself new boxes and I've been sorting through it and going to give the old boxes full of goodies to my grandsons when they get a lil older. Hopefully they will cherish it more than I do .

The title of this thread made me think you'd just finished organizing your tackle box for the season, closed it up, and then promptly tipped it over. God I hate when that happens.

Read the title and IMMEDIATELY thought of the last time I tipped my jig box over on the rocks and watched close to 300 or so jigs do some fantastic pinball actions all the way to the bottom. Now I open the box, take the jig out I want, and the CLOSE THE TITTY SPRINKLES THING!!!!!

We've all been there. Looks and sounds like the Japanese version of pinball called Pachinko! Grrrrr....

I look at my spinners and affirm them.

They are strong enough, they are tied right, they are fantastic colors and gosh darn it, they will catch fish too!
