These videos praising beaver are like saying mice, another rodent, keep your house cleaner because they eat the crumbs off the floor. It's all fun and games until hantavirus shows up. It's all fun and games with beaver until they block a five foot culvert over a long weekend and put water within a foot of the fog line on a state highway and threaten the integrity of the road itself. Or use cornstalks to build a dam on a spring fed ravine that drops into a creek and flood 50-60 acres of tillable land. Dropping them off in the middle of nowhere and seeing the good work they do is great, but they are just rodents doing what rodents do, which creates problems for humans at times. Some of them major problems. These videos need to be balanced out with videos of the damage they can do, and even that will not stop people from trying to take animal damage control responsibilities away from humans. Which is exactly what is happening in Oregon right now. Without ANY fish and wildlife service input, the legislature is working on bills to arbitrarily ban beaver trapping on certain rivers. We are the top of the food chain for a reason; God gave us dominion over animals. It's a balancing act we can be good at if the NEVER, NEVER people, which the production company that made the posted video is, would stay out of the way.

Fish and wildlife folks are money and power grabbing SOB's, and one would think in a liberal infested state like Oregon, even the liberal legislatures that are anti everything would consult their liberal cronies in the wildlife services, yet they did not, which is odd.
