Do any of you guys ever troll with cranks and bottom bouncers at the same time ?

And are planer boards worth the hassle ?

Yes, but I feel like I'm compromised on one or the other due to the speed.

The poor man's down rigger (bottom bouncer to crank) works. Use to do that then switched to leadcore. Boards work, but the ones we typically use won't work with leadcore.

Yup...usually keep the live rig in my hand and the crank in the rod holder.

Yep to both. I have since went with clip on trolling weights, leadcore, and now down riggers this year. I fish boards quite often.

Yes, I/we will put one bb rig out with spinner n crawler, and have the other 3-5 rods cranks. I use a 3 oz bb and usually only in 9-12 fow. We will use boards, usually one if conditions are right.
