Ive intend on getting a chariot type this summer. I will warn that the thinner tubes like the scheels brand are more fun for getting air they beat the shit out of you no matter how fast you go.

I have a 3 person Super Mable and it is awesome durable and can be pulled in both directions to mix up the thrill. Easy to re-board and ample handles for different types of riding.
With the flat bottom this thing flys really good too if one wants to get wild or it sits very comfy for the easy going ride, one of the best all around tubes I have ever been on.

Super mable is a good choice, but make sure you have some horse power to pull it. They pull like a tank. A bungee rope is a must for any towable, it will take the shock out of your arms and helps with take off. I prefer the donut type tubes or flat tubes to pull. Much easier on the fuel gauge, if there is such a thing. Kids like the super mable but they get bored with it because we can't whip them around on it. Also plan on at least 5 gallons an hour while pulling the thing with a 4s motor.. When I'm bored pulling the tube I tell them I only have enough gas left for fishing. Also Add a ski pole for the most fun or wake tower.

We we have a super Mabel, 2 donut tubes, 2 flat tubes, skis, and a knee board. Kids prefer two tubes at a time anymore.

I've heard that the mabel's tend to get holes easy in the tubes... a lot of bad reviews on amazon

I have not noticed that it pulls hard at all and I am really underpowered to start with on my pontoon "although I have an elevated ski pylon on my toon so it pulls from a point just a bit higher than the top of the engine which may have a positive affect by slightly lifting on the front of the tube".
I have had mine for over 5 years with zero holes or issues at all. We use it as a floating swim platform a lot too, just inflate it and tie it off with a long rope and everyone just swims from it or just hangs out on it.

I have a scheels brand 3 person flat circle one, it pulls super easy, and is fast when giving wild rides and turns.

I bought one of those ball ropes, that has the big ball in the middle of the length of rope to help prevent rope splash on the riders and heighten visibility, seems to work better with it, than without, but not a hell of a lot better.

My hook up point on the transom is actually just below the water line and the rope would mostly stay below or right at water level making it pull hard and not be able to whip the tube but also made it miserable for the riders because the water would spray them so bad. One of those ropes with the inflatable ball in the middle solved this. I think I works great!

I bought this one at sams about 5 years ago for $100 bucks and it has been great for our kids. Very stable for young riders.

I have a niece who is fearless and I have had the supermable just about that high launching it off some good waves and wakes a few times as she did the Superman flying pose off of it with not so graceful landings but she is a trooper takes a minute to compose herself crawls back on and want some more.

I would never have guessed that's what your kids look like.

I love tubing, still to this day. But, back in college days I the water hard. I must have smacked it just right, to where it filled my eardrum with water (rupturing it im sure). It hurt like a mother for a good month. Water drained out of it for a week.

I couldnt hardly even shower. It was like my brain told my ear "here comes some more fu**ing water", and it would start to hurt like a bastard again.

I always laugh when everyone talks about hard water as ice fishing season, I think it feels just as hard when hitting it when thawed from high speeds too.:;:exactly

Skip the tubes and get some skis or a wake board and make em learn something that takes some skill and coordination before towing em around the lake like a buncha lazy Bernie supporters.

Yep!! In the 80's everyone skied. Its actually exercise! The only time I ever tubed was with the brother in-law, who just used an small tractor tire tube. No handles, that was a work out.
