I did some fishing, a couple of days ago, with a friend that was visiting from out of state. We fished the New Town area and had some success with jigging raps, then switched to jigs and minnows once we found some fish a little shallower. We ended up having our best luck once we found an active pod in the 18-20' depth range. Slowly twitching the jig across the bottom seemed to work best for us. Water temps are falling fast. Hoping for an Indian summer.
