What lenth shaft of trolling motor for my boat

I have a 1998 sylvan 1700 was wondering if I should go with a 45 inch or 60 inch length? Thanks for the info.

if you're gonna b on 500 acre lakes in mn surrounded by trees fishing calm days, the 45 will b fine... if not - not so much...

Had a '97 17 foot Sylvan pro select, 60'' pinpoint trolling motor on it and it worked very well.
