Another blast next sunday
LONG TERM...(Tuesday through Sunday)
Issued at 417 AM CDT Mon Apr 2 2018
Some snow and patchy
blowing snow in southeast North Dakota and west
central Minnesota is possible on Tuesday as the system from the
previous day moves out. High pressure moves in leading to cool and
dry conditions Wednesday. On Thursday a cold
front will move across
the Northern Plains which may bring some flurries with it.
Confidence in these flurries occuring is very low as there is model
disagreement and only
ECMWF has a strong signal for it. High
pressure settles in again on Friday which continues the cool and
quiet weather. The next chance for snow comes on Sunday as an upper
level
trough moves into the Northern Plains. This systems could
produce a significant amount of snow but the track of the surface
low is still uncertain. The track of this surface low will have a
major impact on precipitation type and amount.
