Why the "Are you sure..." message

I can't be the only one that gets the popup that prompts a person with:

"Are you sure you want to leave this page

This site says...

Changes made in the editor will be lost."


I get this message just about every time I click to follow another link. Even when I have made no attempt to type a reply to the thread I just read.

What's the deal...and can it get fixed?

Note, I see it in Edge, IE explorer, and/or Chrome(?) so I don't think it's a browser specific issue.

Probably a cache issue.

I’d try deleting all history, and reboot the site.

If you type something in the quick reply box, and don't hit post it will ask you if you want to leave the page, when you try to navigate away from the screen you are on.

hell it signs me out everytime I close my browser. Have to log back in again even with the box checked. Never had that problem in years. Thought it was just my computer but it does it on my phone and ipad

Yep, been doing that for me for a month or so now on my home lap top. I just click on the Activity Feed box at the top and it signs me in by itself. On my phone and work computer I'm always signed in.

Also, when I log in, after my first attempt it says I have to try again, then I do exactly the same thing, and it thanks me for logging in. Every. Single. Time.

what's weird is yesterday I forgot to resign back in. went to make a post and when I did that it told me I wasn't signed in. So I just said screw it and went back and clicked on another topic. Looked up and I was signed in. Went to the previous post and the post it said I couldn't make not signed in was there lol. Fubared.
