Not including bb guns.

What was the first rifle you ever shot? The first shotgun?

Also, what was the first gun you ever bought for yourself?

Remington 30/30 was the first rifle I ever shot. I think. Man, I cannot remember if I shot a .22 before that or not, now.
First shotgun was an 870 Express.
The first gun I ever bought was a .243 and I cannot remember what make it was any more. (I hate getting old)

Remington 30-30 or Winchester 30-30 w/Remington ammo? A Remington in 30-30 would've most likely been a 14A pump action or a 788 Bolt action.

In regards to the original question:

The 1st Rifle, a Colt Stagecoach semi-auto 22lr.

1st Shotgun, H&R "Snake-Charmer" .410 because that's the only thing that'd fit.

1st gun I bought for myself was a Beretta 303 12Ga which I still have and still use some.

A Savage 24c, 20 ga/22. Bought it from Raney
hardware in Drayton for $81.00. Had a paper route w my brother and we bought it together. Next was a Win 1300 20 gauge from Lyle from Glasston for $181. To this day wish I would have splurged the extra $50 for the 870. Oh well.

First gun was a $75 used marlin tube feed 22 from Scheels. First shotgun was dads 12 gauge 870 wingmaster. First high power was a Remington woodsmaster 308 semi auto that jammed all the damn time but brought down my first deer and many after that. Bought a 870 wingsmaster a few years back that’s a twin to dads just to look at because that gun holds a special place in my heart.

First gun I purchased was a Savage 270 scoped combo. Still use it to deer hunt every 5 or 6 years when I get a tag.

First gun I bought myself was a Rem pump in 30-30 was a pile of crap gun, dont even remember what I did with it. Next was a Rem 788 in 308 which I still have along with about 50 other guns that have showed up along the way. Have never sold a gun but have given away a fair amount, its what I do. LB

First gun I can remember shooting (other than BB gun) was my brothers Remington 572 Fieldmaster pump 22. First gun that was actually mine was an H and R single shot 12 guage that kicked like a mule followed closely by a marlin model 60 22. First gun I purchased myself was my brothers mosberg 500 12 guage which he bought from coast to coast.

I dont remember the model numbers. but the first 22 was a Marlin bolt action some guy traded my dad for a tank of gas. First shotgun was a Marlin bolt action. First centerline was a Swedish Mauser in 6.5 x 55 that my dad bought from a catalog for $19. Never fired were very expensive at $29.99. The sport shops loved that 1968 gun bill.
First 22 revolver my brother bought from an Outdoor Life magazine advertisement for $12. It was so bad that sometimes we only got five shots after loading six. I dont know how it was possible, but standing close to paper showed that sometimes one would shoot out of the cylinder. Shot a whole box of shells at a gallon bucket at ten yards and I dont think we ever hit it.

First shotgun was a Winchester Model 24
First gun I bought was a semi-auto Charles Daly 12ga. It was about all I could afford at 18 and I was tired of carrying around that heavy model 24.
