I can get you all the 1" oil field pipe you want for nothing. I also have 50 sticks of 3/4" sucker rod and 50 sticks of 7/8 and can get mega more. schedule 40 pvc isn't going to hold 350 lbs I don't think. especially with deer pushing and prodding on it.

schedule 40 galvanized is plenty strong (it’s not PVC, it’s dock pipe)

some guys use toprail from chainlink fence - yikes

deer won’t attack/lean on pipe when they don’t associate attacking the feeder with getting fed

this isn’t a feeder - they can’t jostle it and get fed - the spinner closes tight after the spin cycle

Hahahahhahahah! Why else would one use a feeder it’s to give them bait to eat. Duh

In some circles there’s feeding deer (providing protein, etc. as a major part of their calorie intake) using chute feeders etc and then there’s baiting (providing them snacks that don’t much contribute to their overall caloric needs) - spreading a pound or two widely to attract them but stop short of “feeding” them.

Some people have feeders sitting where they will never hunt. In fact some rich people feed deer for fun and never hunt. How is that feeding them “bait”?
