Hi Guys! I blew my opti on the ol PRO V and upgraded to a PRO XS. Just got it back and was hoping to test it out before the long winter comes. Does anyone know if their is still open water and access on East End Van Hook or Casino ramp? I know the Tailrace is open just didn't want to go there if possible. Thanks in advance.

Lincoln, kinda...
I suspect the casino ramp is ice free. The ramp goes right into the lake, not a small bay or breakwater.

Casino is open today with the dock still in, though its a crappy dock, high out of water and bent up etc. Only sheet ice on Saturday was in the bays so no worries doing higher rpm/speed tests.

Not to hijack this thread, but there are currently 43 trucks & boat trailers @ Fox including at least 3 pontoons! Would post pics but do not know how to mask license plate info on i phone pics. Currently 5 boats in front of our place @ north end of fox! Enjoy the day All!

Thanks Guys! Van Hook was open too and the dock was still in at 1pm. Water temp was 36.9 when I left at 4:50pm. Motor ran GREAT with a bonus limit of Walleyes. Gotta love 50's in Dec...now I'm ready to drill holes.

Why would you worry about license plates?

Been seeing lots of pictures of full live wells. Guessing that will come to an end for awhile with the wind they have forecasted up to Wednesday 🌬️

I have blown 2 optimax on the ol proV. First time it was warrantied, second time mrs johnr had to cover it. Wasnt smart enough to just put an entirely different motor on it.

lol. idk. If it’s still kicking then maybe worth it. Mrs Lund says I’m going to be buried in this boat after forking over a small fortune on this one 😳. #retirementonhold

Went across the bridge Saturday afternoon, the ramp at 4 Bears was white from the ice/snow mix we had gotten, so some sunlight or a heavy salting will be needed to make that useable. There was a bunch of slush pushed down from the NW winds that was all piled up on the east shore and about 1/3 of the way out on the bridge, but the west shoreline and everything else was completely open. Hoping for maybe one more open water trip this weekend, but a safe place to put in is required.
