Ruger 10/22 Takedown

Who has one? Accurate?

As stated in a different thread, I have a Henry AR-7, which is a cool concept but pretty useless in actuality. Also have owned a pair of Rusdi interchangeable barrel rifles (.22, .243, 20 guage). Also, really cool concept -- 3 completely different firearms that can be carried in a bag 22" x 8" (estimated, no longer have). Neither of these is accurate.

Wondering if the takedown 10/22 is better?

I do not have a 10/22 takedown, however I have one that was built in 1968. It is very accurate with the right ammo. When I get back to GF I plan to test some CCI Target and the CCI Strangers.
I would think the newer Ruger 10/22 takedown should be accurate for the distance you would be shooting with a 22 LR.

I have the 10-22 take down in stainless I love it it's accurate enough it's not perfect by no means but what 22 is unless your running match grade ammo
I've put it in my back pack while bird hunting and it's killed a few gophers and a coyote with no problems

If you mean "Stingers" they aren't "known" for accuracy. Also I've read a few times they're hard on auto actions.

Dad's isn't as accurate as my Marlin bolt (dime compared to .30 hole@50yds). It was a "nickel" before the BX2 trigger upgrade.

I did test 4 diverent 22 ammo last summer. Remington, Federal target, Winchester and Aguila.
Not sure what particular rounds of each as they were anything on the shelf during the recent ammo shortage. At 50 yds 10 shot groups only using the 7 best. Aguila was slightly the best.
I will be doing more targets this summer. So I will look to add some W-W Power Points.

I haven't seen them in years--Win .22 Target would group in one .24/25cal hole@50 for me. They were filthy as hell.

Only way I’ve seen them (Power-Points) lately is in the 100rd plastic boxes. I have t seen them in bricks in over a decade.

I meant T-22. Same thing? They used to be in white cardboard boxes for around a buck and a half.
