Stinger hooks

Sorry, I am a questions guy is all. No such thing as a stupid question, although I think I have proven that wrong multiple times.
Anyhooooo do you guys tie your own stinger hooks, or buy them? If you tie them, what knot do you use? Do you use fluoro or mono? Which hooks?

I've found that a long shank jig hook catches more fish for me than adding a stinger hook. The stinger tends to wrap around the main line way to often for my liking. I really don't like fishing for 15 minutes only to reel up and find my jig has been befuddled from the start.

I use Northland Tackle stingers. I don’t use them often but I do sometimes when I am slow trolling jigs or drifting jigs and getting short bit.
