    I did buy it used. - - - Updated - - - Wow it talks about the stock bedding even. I’m going to look into that. Details how to perform the bedding if it’s missing. Weird though if that is it how this big pieces would get into trigger assy

    The A300 thing was bizarre. I think it boiled down to me not giving it enough shoulder to lean on. Taking awkward shots that didn’t give resistance to it. When I test fire at home it’s fine. Let the grandson shoot it starting opener of pheasants and he has had no issues with it lol.

    Amazingly enough I have been able to secure four bottles of rifle powder and four bottles of shotgun powder for normal retail the last two weeks. Took some doing though lol. Had to have friends in obscure places help too lol. Also bought some bullets at normal prices too. All by luck

    Deer numbers in NW ND are not good. I’ve probably walked 80 miles for pheasants and have only kicked up a handful of deer. You see a scant few here and there in early morning or evening.

    I would take some fine steel wool after it and see how it does. If it cleans it up good and appears to have taken the remaining varnish off then you could simply use a finishing oil of some kind of stain with something really close to existing color and then polyurethane
