    Work sharp sharpener

I usually have two sets of blades ready go just in case I hit some dirty ice. I might have to make a trip out there. I'm not much of a coyote hunter but I'm almost as good at finding/shooting pheasants as I am at drinking busch light. Too bad you don't have any out there.

I took my auger blades to a place in bismarck. Took them a month to get them done. That was in February and I keep forgetting to go pick them up.

Not a bad idea. Can you send serrated blades through a work sharp? Cause the mister twister is getting a little dull after three years.

So this is what my pocket knife looked like after I got done experimenting with the work sharp. Not happy about it. I went the direction of sweeney and broke out my smaller stone (course and fine grit). After about 15 minutes of small circles, I ended up with this. So overall, lesson...

Remember those assignments where it had a bunch of random actions to perform and the last one was to sit quietly after you've read all the directions? I finished that bad boy while everyone else was just sitting around looking dumb.

Reading the directions isn't necessarily a big highlight of abilities. The rest of the knife is VERY sharp though.

    Work sharp sharpener

So I borrowed my dads work sharp to being life back into a few blades. Buck knives turned out great and even worked on some kitchen knives. Decided to put my pocket knife through it and now I have a butter knife tip. I know I read that some others have done this. So, any of you guys, that are...

    Can you spot the buck

Now I feel better. That was fun! - - - Updated - - - so are there there deer in this picture? Or just the one?

    Can you spot the buck

I've come to the conclusion that you need a better spotting scope.:::

    Can you spot the buck

That's what I was thinking too. A deer per shadow towards the top. Not a good sign with four days between now and my badlands bow hunt.

    Chukar, Chukar, CHUKAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had a chuckar in our yard for a bit this spring. Then I found a tuft of feathers in the garden that have the same coloration. I think someone's kitty cat went hunting.

That's awesome. My legs hurt just by reading that. Well done on the hunt and write up, KDM.

    Engine overheat??

I'm not expert but I know sand in that impeller will wear it down pretty fast. And if it's not getting water in to cool the motor, the impeller might be the issue. Someone else can chime in and make me look stupid.

    Engine overheat??

Did you change out the impeller as well?
