The rules state that the kids need to be under direct supervision of an adult.  For me, I am two steps behind my kids without my gun when they are in the field.  Accidents can happen with anybody and if I had to guess, I think that a child under the direct supervision of an adult is just as safe (by percent of hunters) as anybody else in the field.  I would say probably even safer than many hunters because they are a little bit scared of the gun and treat it with respect.</p></blockquote><p></p>
