Message: <blockquote data-quote="Allen" data-source="post: 326562" data-attributes="member: 389"><p>Awesome read!</p><p></p><p>We can barely imagine what it was like to be some of the original settlers of this area in the late 1800s and early 1900s.  </p><p></p><p>My stepdad's grandfather slept in a tree up north of New Town while he built his dirt home because he was afraid of the wolves and coyotes (remember, the first Europeans that got here basically thought a coyote was just a small wolf).  </p><p></p><p>I can't even imagine sleeping in a tree without a t-rex in the area.</p></blockquote><p></p>
