I’ve got some decades ahead of me before retirement so I started dumping big chunks of my paycheck into 401k and HSA. I’ll probably be getting a very small raise next month and I’ve decided I’m just going to increase my 401k/HSA contributions by the amount of the raise. If I never see the money, I’ll never miss it.</p><p></p><p>I also spend my “fun money” on guns and scopes that I often end up trading or selling later so that my toys don’t cut into my budget. When my safe gets crowded, it’s time to thin the herd. We wanted new living room furniture this summer... “I bet I’ve got a rifle or scope I don’t need.” It’s just stuff.</p></blockquote><p></p>
