Message: <blockquote data-quote="Traxion" data-source="post: 203815" data-attributes="member: 983"><p>This is spot on.  While I agree there are more and more factors that affect kids these days, including social media, the media coverage, technology, video games, etc. the bottom line is pretty well stated above.  Kids today DO NOT handle adversity well.  Lots of reasons for it, but I see it everyday.  Bad things happen in life, no matter what, and it is all about how you react to them.  I'm not advocating sitting and taking it- I am saying we don't empower our kids to step up and deal with something in a real life manner.  Kids who bully should get their butts kicked (by parents and the other kids), and those who get bullied should stand up and take action.  But kids don't fear their parents at all and kids don't feel supported enough to take action.  Sad state of affairs....</p><p></p><p>Prayers to all those involved!</p></blockquote><p></p>
