Like it over floating because of less motion. Really easy to adjust for height. Screws you turn from the deck lift and lower. Can use a ratchet but me always looking for an easy way prefer a battery powered impact wrench. being all aluminum makes them easy to bring in and out and no rust. No idea on today's cost, when I bought mine, 20 years ago, the cost was about $1800 and I had to set it up myself. Easy with help from 1 or 2 other guys. Don't remember the brand but I know they are still available. If I remember I will check the next time I'm at my lake home. 4 of us all bought docks at the same time and all still have them.</p></blockquote><p></p>
