Long story short she wasn't going to back the boat and trailer in. So I figured she can learn how to drive the boat on the trailer. I let her practice pulling up on the sand bars aiming for certain marked spots and aiming the nose of the boat at them. She figured out how to manipulate the current to her advantage and I figured she should give it a try finally on memorial day weekend. Well I hopped out of the boat and said today is the day you earn your wings. Her reply was TODAY! There was a loaded parking lot at merriweathers boat ramp. The river was busy as it could be and a lot of waves to throw her off while pulling up. I back in and hopped onto the dock to giver her a hand. A few decent waves hit the boat but she put that boat spot on first try. I didnt even have to crank it up just hooked up. The person on the other side looks at me and asks if that is my wife? I replied no. Just my current Gf. He said I have been married to that thing sitting in the truck for 25 years (his wife)and not once has she offered to back in the trailer or pull the boat on. He looked me square in the eyes and said that one is a keeper bud and you need to marry that one. I took his advice and about 7 years later I did.</p></blockquote><p></p>
