If it's just a slow leak it probably isn't worth putting the dog through hell and writing a check to the vet. - - - Updated - - - Rusty beat me to it. Had a small hunting dog that had enough terrier in het to make her mean and ruthless. She found a woodchuck under an old wooden building and started grunting, growling and digging. She was under there in np time and I heard a loud chirp from the chuck and all was quiet for a few seconds then a high pitched yelp from the dog. She came out of there and was rubbing her nose on the ground . When she quit yelping and digging her nose in the dirt so I could see what the deal was , almost half her nose was gone . It was tender for a while but surprisingly it scabbed over and partially grew back.
