Message: <blockquote data-quote="KDM" data-source="post: 85113" data-attributes="member: 314"><p>Not a dumb question at all.  It depends on where they are restrained.  If it's around the neck I can control the head by basically reeling it in until I can grab the fox around the neck and hold it down so I can get at the snare.  If they are flank caught, which is usually around the waist, but can mean anything other than the neck, it gets a bit more interesting as they are fast and their head is free to put those teeth to good use.  LOL!!  At that point I usually use my noggin bonker to distract the fox, get in real close and grab them by the neck.  A catch pole would probably be the best, but I don't want to carry one every time I run the line just in case I catch a fox, so I'll just stick with the grab method and hope I don't hurt the fox or myself.  (Grin)</p></blockquote><p></p>
