Wife and I froze 85 bags of sweet corn, froze 80 green bell peppers, gave away over 200 green bell peppers. Had about 60 cantaloupe mature and about 25 water melon mature also. Countless cukes, onions and potatoes, green beans buy the five gallon buckets, little cherry tomatoes by the ice cream bucket. Had fresh potatoes from early Aug. Still have about 30 hills to dig for winter supply along with white onions the size of softballs. Got 3 five gallon buckets of yellow onions hanging in mesh bags in basement. Got fall carrots to dig yet and got a killer frost a few days ago so can see all the winter squash that have to be picked, there is just too damed many squash, don't have that many friends, and I don't raise z squash cause if I cant spell it I not eating it. I got sick and tired of picking cukes because of all the dam skitters, now after the frost I see pickup load of big ones to use as target practice. Kinda fun to watch them explode. WE did make a few runs this summer, filling our Ranger pickup up with fresh veggies and hitting the assisted living centers.  People ask why we don't sell stuff and I tell them that selling don't make US feel good.
