Tough to find similarities between the two beyond both being very intelligent. Barry is very much a father figure with a warm presence and Dave is a very fun guy but also has has a presence when he is in a room. I don't see Brad having that same effect on his players and I would bet money this is the issue during Brad's time as head coach, he simply does not develop and motivate players to the level we are used to, whereas Dave could take a group of nothings and develop them into talented players that played hard as a team.It's one thing to recruit good freshman talent, but you still have to develop them into NHL/AHA level players, this is the foundation of UND's recruiting. Dave took average college recruits like Caggiula and Stecher and turned them in NHL players, I don't know right now if Brad has that ability. At some point the high-end recruits will go elsewhere. So the question becomes how long you can wait?This program has a lot of donating alumni with deep pockets who will not tolerate the program declining. They all know Brad and will have an opinion as to whether he was the right guy or if Dane Jackson or Eades should have been given the reigns. Both are more like Hakstol.Could be an interesting off season. I think if the recruits go elsewhere, the writing is on the wall and things will move quickly.</blockquote>
