5' 6".... OK Ok - 5' 5.5" I round up. - - - Updated - - - Believe it or not - By eating! Ok, there's more too it. I've been doing a modified version of KETO. With keto, the goal is to go about 20 grams of carbs. I couldn't do it. I am somewhat active but I certainly don't live in a gym. I do have a machine similar to the bow flex that I use occasionally and I do have a elliptical that I use. When I tried to go below 50 grams of carbs a day, I was absolutely whipped by the end of the week. 0 energy. I know there is a transition phase but I changed it up anyways. To be honest, I haven't used either machine in the last few months because I've been working on finishing the basement but I will get back on them soon. Back to eating - What has worked for me is keeping carbs between 80 to 100 grams per day. More meats and veggies/lettuce/spinach. Potatoes occasionally. Pasta and rice are down to once in a while. Now this isn't bad as it sounds, I still have a bun with my hamburger and yes I still have pizza and dairy queen blizzards once in a while. I do go through a bunch of eggs now though. Breakfast was the biggest switch for me. instead of some sort of cereal and milk, breakfast is now 2 eggs and a meat product. Getting rid of soda was the biggest contributing factor. I drank way too much of it. What I have found is my daily caloric intake looks like a roller coaster. Up and then down then up and down with an occasional jump up. My daily calories end up between 1200 calories to 1600/1700 calories with the occasional jump up to 2000 to 2300. The majority of the time I am not hungry at all and some days I will go 12 to 18 hrs before I feel I need to eat again. ETA - I have a desk job so I still all day long. ETA2 - I have had a do quite a bit of traveling over the past year for work as well. Following this plan wasn't as hard as I thought it would be having to eat out all the time.
