<blockquote data-quote="shorthairsrus" data-source="post: 51477" data-attributes="member: 219">Many stories come to mind when hearing this one --- including one when I was under the age of 14 and a landowner was shooting at a guy (who I did not know) that was on his land with a&nbsp; big buck down -- that was the most extreme.&nbsp;&nbsp; The deer was shot and it somehow floated over the road and fence and then collapsed.&nbsp;&nbsp; The land owner was 600 yards away and closing with a 30-30.&nbsp;&nbsp; The buck was pulled over to load up as the 30/30 bullets were getting closer.&nbsp; I was with my dad and his friend and we came up on this observing on a gravel road.&nbsp; Unbelievable.&nbsp;&nbsp; Anyway ---pheasant hunting --- we received permission and just got to our spot.&nbsp;&nbsp; Some local yocal pulls up with a party of hunters (out of staters that were guided by local yocal).&nbsp;&nbsp; He gets out and says this property is posted.&nbsp;&nbsp; We nod ; he proceeds to take his party on the land.&nbsp;&nbsp; now its early but we called the party who owned the land - who was in Bismarck; they asked what kind of truck; we told them and then they said it was the neighbor who does not have permission.&nbsp;&nbsp; The owner wanted to talk to the jackhole but he wasn't going to listen to us or her--- ok so we have 3 fresh shorthairs (poorly trained young ones) that were crawling the walls in the kennel.&nbsp; We let em out as soon as da boys line up to do a push / they had labs and a springer.&nbsp;&nbsp; We immediately pushed so the GSPs went way out in front (what seemed miles) and you could see birds after birds launching into the air.&nbsp;&nbsp; RANGEY SHORTHAIRSNeedless to say the jackhole came back to my truck bitched out my dad - who in turn just rolled up the window and said I don't know those guys.&nbsp; So the jackhole stayed at my truck for a while but had to move on with his clients.&nbsp;&nbsp; Needless to say once we hit electricity on those shorthairs we each picked up 3 birds in that spot.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp; :;:thumbsup</blockquote>
