With that said, I purposely went with a single/dual action gun for this reason. Sitting by the bedstand, I don't feel unsafe at all with one in the chamber all the time since the hammer isn't cocked, and god for bid if I need it in the middle of the night and I'm half out of it, groggy and sleepy, it's one less step I have to think about. Once or twice a year I dig it out and do my qualification and compliance testing and make sure it's all good, typically off the back deck of the house, lol.</p></blockquote><p></p>
