[QUOTE="Sum1, post: 132551, member: 470"] Everything that was wrong with the Mark I II and IIIs they solved with the IV. Had a Mark III sold it as soon as I heard about the IV and picked one up. The Ruger Mark pistols are built like tanks, accurate as all hell and should last many generation if taken care of. The mark iii that I had was a Jam-o-matic. Some do require a breaking in process and some don't. Not sure why that is. When I first got my mark iii I couldn't make it through a mag without it jamming. When I sold it a year later it ran like a top. The more I shot it the better it ran. The ole man bought a 22/45 and it ran flawlessly from the get go. I don't even think he has cleaned it yet. The reassembly of the Mark pistols can be a pain until you get the hang of it. When I got to that point I felt like a real gun guru. The Mark IV has also shot like a dream from the start. Id recommend a Mark series or the 22/45 to anyone that doesn mind a little firearm maintenance once in a while. They are awsome guns. If your someone that doesn't like cleaning your firearms all that often id stay away from them.
