They do not work very well if worn over a sweatshirt, both of ours are 4 or 5 years old so they may have made some improvements since then.  </p><p></p><p>The wife also has the thermocell heated insoles for her boots that she says really work good for her.  Her feet are always cold even with 2000 gram thinsulate boots but she can wear 600 gram boots with the thermocell insoles and says her feet are nice and toasty.</p></blockquote><p></p>
