Never in a million years did I figure I’d draw this tag! Someone has too, so why not me! Anyways ended up hunting near Twin Buttes on Three Affiliated Tribes land, it was the first season for sheep hunting there. The 1st tag went to a tribal member(Mandaree side) and the 2nd tag went to NDGF to use for their general lottery, which ended up going to me(Twin Buttes side)! It was the 1st of 3 tags that NDGF gets through helping in the re-establishment of the sheep population there. What an amazing experience, everyone involved in the hunt was absolutely great! I would assume that another NDGF hunter will end up there this coming season as long as there is no population loss. Both herds were doing really well on each side of the lake the last I had heard (Mandaree and Twin Buttes). I could not believe the ram ended up in that hole after shooting him! Made for great pictures right…..there were 3 of us in there getting him out!
