Message: <blockquote data-quote="JayKay" data-source="post: 273018" data-attributes="member: 324"><p>Easy to say, but nearly impossible to do.</p><p></p><p>I've thought and thought and thought, about how things "should be", and the simple truth is, there is no simple truth.  Things have become so convoluted, and every single group feels entitled to acceptance and subsidization.  The old saying "the squeaky wheel gets the grease" has never been more true.  Democracy, as in "majority rules" is all but unheard of any longer.  I'm not saying we should all just give up, but it's going to take solutions from people a LOT smarter than me, in order to straighten this mess out.</p><p></p><p>I'm ALSO not saying that it's hard to find people smarter than me...</p><p></p><p>And this's all assuming we're on the same page.  Throw in nut-jobs who want to tear our government or country apart, and it's even worse.</p></blockquote><p></p>
