None of the boats I worked with had flotation. If it swamped, it went to the bottom.</p><p>We had an 18x8 foot Diamondback with a HO 8.1 litre GM. Airboats a crappy deep water craft and are designed for a foot or less of water.  They will transition from ice to water and back but its tricky. While helping out Fargo during their big flood, I observed a few wrecks and a swamping or two but they were in 2 or three feet of water. All maneuvers, especially stopping must end with power or water will come over the back or gunwales.</p></blockquote><p></p>
