I emailed and asked if we could do a poll of the voters in the district and see what the majority of voters wanted when it comes to this subject. I asked why wait until the very last minute and then the phone lines and email blows up. The senator didn't want anything to do with a poll. I was told it wasn't possible to poll the district. This bill and the politics with it smell to high heaven. It feels like it doesn't matter what the people say, the district reps and senator already have their mind made up on how they are voting when, not if, this comes up again. I absolutely didn't vote for any of them in the last election. Our district didn't have anyone who wouldn't vote for this bill. I have the very same sinking feeling with this shit as I have for the presidential election and all the corruption in our federal govt. I am still waiting for a grass roots group that has some leadership that is willing to fight this crap. I am willing to donate money to help the cause.
