Just as they make “No hunting or trespassing signs”, they also make signs that say: Open to hunting, hunting allowed with permission, and signs with statements allowing just about any other level of access. They make them metal or durable plastic in addition to paper. One can easily get by with posting signs with whatever language you want, replacing them every ten years or less, and the cost is pretty minimal. The ability to limit the time spent posting land, the nuisance of people asking to hunt posted and/or unposted land, etc. is pretty easily and cheaply eliminated if one truly doesn’t want to be hassled by people hunting their land or asking to hunt their land. I think for the most vocal people, this issue is about WAY more than allowing access. There are many chips on many shoulders at play...and naturally some people just need to bitch and complain about life just being too gosh darn hard.If anyone actually thinks passing a law or not passing a law or creating an electronic system or any other system is going to make dishonest people all of a sudden turn honest, well...you’re not very smart to the ways of the world. People who didn’t give a shit about trespassing before or didn’t give a shit about hunters having access will care as little or less now. Those who weren’t part of your problems before still won’t be. Respecting other people and their property is very important. So is the act of being a decent human being. Many people on both sides of this issue have their priorities so messed up they’ve forgotten about both and willingly put that on full display all day long. THAT is the problem and it’s never going away.</blockquote>
